December 11, 2017 @ 9:20 am - 10:50 am
Avital Aharon, Director of Educational Technology at TanenbaumCHAT
Assessment of student mastery of content takes many forms. Educators and policy makers are always searching for ways to develop and implement innovative assessment programs to address accountability requirements and to inform instruction. This session will give participants the opportunity to explore the role of Educational Technology in assessment and evaluation as well as ways in which online tools can provide creative ways to deliver assessments and provide data. 3 tools featuring formative, summative assessment, and gamifying evaluation tools will be examined. The focus of the session will be on using Socrative, Wizer and online gamifying assessment solutions. Authentic and creative online submission opportunities will be modeled and discussed. In this hands-on session, participants will have an opportunity to try the different tools and consider ways of bringing them back to their students and school to enhance teaching and learning and improve student success.
